TPC @ Craig Ranch
The TPC Craig Ranch opened its fairways and greens to Members and guests as a private golf facility on September 16, 2004.  Designed by PGA TOUR Legend and world renowned golf course designer Tom Weiskopf, the course stretches to 7,438 yards from the PGA TOUR tees and plays to a par 71 (all other sets of tees are par 72).  Routed along the beautiful white-limestone based Rowlett Creek, the TPC Craig Ranch was designed to challenge some the game’s best competitors while still providing an enjoyable round for the average player.

The USGA Course and Slope Ratings of 77.0 and 152 respectively from the PGA TOUR tees makes the TPC Craig Ranch one of the most challenging course in the State of Texas and ranks it high on the national scale.

The par 4 hole #14 is Weiskopf's signature "drivable par-4" and plays to 330 yards from the PGA TOUR tees. While short enough to be reachable off the tee, players must avoid numerous bunkers surrounding the green and water off the left hand side of the fairway and green.

In 2005 the TPC Craig Ranch played host to both the U.S. Amateur Qualifier and the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier. In 2006 the TPC Craig Ranch has or will play host to the U.S. Women's Open Qualifier and the PGA TOUR Qualifying School.

Craig Ranch - A Developed Community

Craig Ranch Community
Wake up and take a five-minute walk to a nearby cafe for coffee and the morning newspaper.  When you've finished the paper, walk three blocks to work.  At day's end, call the family and meet them for dinner at a local bistro just a few blocks away.  On the weekend, go to the corner movie theater or let the kids walk to the local family entertainment center.

This is the concept behind Craig Ranch, a 2000-acre development that received the 2001 American Planning Association (Texas Chapter) Project Planning Award.  Conveniently located on Highway 121 with access from Custer Road and FM-720, Craig Ranch is northeast of the four corners of McKinney, Allen, Plano and Frisco in Collin County.

Using “New Urbanism” concepts that include strategically placed town centers, Craig Ranch will connect houses, apartments, loft living, retail stores and light industry to bring back the American tradition of friendly, self-sustaining communities.  Neighborhoods will provide people’s basic needs in a traditional town setting and increase mobility while reducing reliance on automobiles.  Followers of this “Old Style” development, with its narrow streets and wide walkways, relish the corner stores and public squares that brought out the greatness of an earlier America.

Because the development plan anticipates using a variety of locally and nationally recognized builders and has the advantage of a large landmass, the Craig Ranch architecture will vary in style and design while still maintaining the local town center concept.  The Craig Ranch plan includes dedicated parks, greenways, hiking and biking trails and the PGA TOUR TPC golf course.
